“Concentration on the primary form and penetration into the essence of certain cultural material such as  language, as means of transmission is the basis of creative action for me. Creation is a gift for me. Profession - is a realisation of  a gift – tradition.
My objects of interest are: individuality and a form, the transmitting the sense of tradition; musical formulas; music and ritual; ancient musical instruments of Hutsulshchyna, making these instruments and the technics of play.

Ostap graduated from the History Department at the Lviv National Franko University.
Dramatic studio of Lviv Les Kurbas Theatre, singing studio of Natalka Polovynka.
Traditional Hutsul instrument classes with the folk masters: Myhaylo Tafiychuk, Yura Tafiychuk, Vasyl Kitsnak and others.
Since 2002 works in projects of Maisternia Pisni:
Participation in theatre staging - performance “The message of Summer”, dir.S.Kovalevych (2003).
Author and director of the project “BAI. Hutsul mystery”. Oganizer of concerts of the Hutsul old school music „По-старовітськи", “BAI-Rozmai”, field laboratories – series of expeditions in Hutsulshchyna.
Participation in International Art Resource “The Song of songs”.
